Distance between Start Point and End Point
Citation- "F(t)." : Formulas? What Formulas? N.p., n.d. Web. 01 Jan. 2015.
Relevance- Someone is going from one point to another, but they don't know how far apart it is. They can form a right triangle using W Murray Avenue and N Court Street and find the distance from where they are to where they are going using the Pythagorean Theorem. After using the Pythagorean Theorem, they will know how far they need to drive to reach their destination.

Relevance- The sniper on the building has to snipe the guy on the ground. He doesn't know what angle he has to shoot at to annihilate his target. All he knows is that the gun he's holding is 20 ft. above the ground and that the building he is on is 20 ft. away from his target. He can use the 45 - 45 - 90 Triangle Theorem. After using this theorem, he now knows that his target is 20√2 ft. away from him and that he has to shoot at a 90º angle to annihilate his target.

Ladder Problem
Citation- "Pythagorean Theorem Word Problems." Pythagorean Theorem Word Problems. N.p., n.d. Web. 06 Jan. 2015.
Relevance- If you need to hang up something like a clock or calendar, you need to have a ladder that's long enough to reach the spot where you want to keep it. In this situation, this guy wants to hang a poster. He wants to put the pins in the poster 12 ft. above the ground on the wall. He has a wooden ladder that only stays at 13 ft. He needs to know how far away he needs to place the ladder to make it reach 12 ft. He can you Pythagorean Theorem because the wall is perpendicular to the ground and then the ladder turns it into the right triangle. In this case, after sing this theorem, he will learn that he has to place the ladder 5 ft. away from the wall.

TV Dimension Porblem

Relevance- Many people go to buy TVs at stores like Best Buy. A TV is classified by its diagonal so a 50 in. TV has a diagonal of 50 in. The TV in the picture is a 50 in. TV. In this situation, someone wants to know the length and width of the TV. The guy asks the store person and the store person tells him the length is 3x bigger than the width. Using the Pythagorean Theorem, he can set up an equation to find the length and width of the TV.
