Triangle are a basic shaped used in construction to give support. If one side of a building had a triangular support but the other was not congruent the support for the whole building would be set off.
We see triangles in bridges... such as the Golden Gate Bridge. They give support with tension wires. Without triangles the support for these bridges would be a bit wonky.

We see bridges in the exterior of houses. These are used for aesthetic purposes, because they peak for a roof.
Triangles are also used in art a lot seeing as it is a common shape. It is fairly simple to draw, but when you put them all together and use them in a creative way they can create a lot of amazing looking things.
You also use it when looking at art. The 'triangle' is supposed to connect three main points of an art piece together that are the most important or draw your attention.
This triangle below is also a illusion. They're common because you can add a twisted dimension to what could also be a flat object.

Something related to triangles would be triangular prisms and also pyramids.
Most pyramids have 4 congruent faces. If one was larger than the other, it would seem 'off' or not as visually appealing.

Another example of triangles in our world is pizza. It is not exactly a triangle, due to it's rounded edges, but it's somewhat resembles one.
If you buy a pizza, you want all of your slices to be almost the same size, or almost congruent. No one wants the small piece that was cut that way on accident, they want all the same size of pieces.

Triangles are all around us everyday, you just have to look for them. They're common everywhere from architecture to even food.
